Dhikr and Dua Based Counseling in the Perspective of Qur’anic Exegesis: A Thematic Analysis of Spirituality Verses and Its Implications for Mental Health

Abstract
Dhikr- and prayer-based counseling is a spiritual approach that has become increasingly relevant in efforts to maintain individuals’ mental health. This article aims to analyze the concepts of dhikr and prayer from the perspective of Qur’anic interpretation and their impact on mental health. The method used is a thematic analysis of Qur’anic verses related to inner peace, emotional regulation, and the relationship between humans and God.The findings indicate that dhikr and prayer play important roles in creating inner tranquility, reducing anxiety, and strengthening individual resilience. Therefore, the integration of spiritual values into counseling practices can serve as an effective alternative for improving mental health.
