Abstract

Digital transformation in the business and industrial sectors requires graduates of Vocational High Schools (SMK) specifically those in the Accounting and Financial Institutions (AKL) stream to possess practical skills in operating online-based accounting software. This community service initiative aims to enhance the digital accounting competence, self-efficacy, and work readiness of students from SMK RPI Jakarta through intensive training using the Accurate Online application. The training program was conducted in stages, comprising theoretical presentations, simulations of the accounting cycle for trading companies, hands-on practice in the accounting computer laboratory, and guidance on integrated transaction case studies. A total of 12 Grade XII students from the AKL stream at SMK RPI Jakarta participated in this training. Program success was evaluated using pre-test and post-test instruments to measure technical competence, alongside a Likert-scale questionnaire (1–5) to assess levels of self-efficacy and perceived work readiness. Evaluation results demonstrated significant improvements across all indicators: Digital Accounting Competence: The average technical understanding score rose by 59.6% increasing from a pre-test average of 54.20 to 86.50 in the post-test yielding an N-gain score of 0.71 (high category). Self-Efficacy: Student confidence in performing system-based digital transaction recording increased from an initial average of 3.15 (moderate category) to 4.48 (very high category). Work Readiness: Student readiness to meet the demands of the modern workforce improved from 61.4% to 88.7%, particularly regarding technological adaptability and understanding of professional workflows. Overall, the Accurate Online training proved effective in bridging the gap between the vocational curriculum and industry needs, while simultaneously shaping SMK graduates who are adaptive, competent, and ready to compete in the digital job market.
