Environmental policy plays an important role in addressing environmental problems while supporting the achievement of sustainable development. This study aims to examine the concept of environmental policy and its relationship with sustainable development, particularly in balancing economic, social, and environmental interests. This study uses a literature review method by analyzing relevant books, journal articles, and other academic sources related to environmental policy and sustainable development. The results indicate that environmental policy serves as an important instrument for managing natural resources, controlling pollution, protecting ecosystems, and encouraging environmentally responsible economic activities. Effective environmental policies can contribute to sustainable development by integrating environmental considerations into development planning and decision-making. The study also shows that the implementation of environmental policies requires cooperation among the government, private sector, communities, and other stakeholders. Therefore, consistency in policy implementation, public participation, and effective environmental management are important factors in supporting sustainable development. This study provides an overview of the relationship between environmental policy and sustainable development and emphasizes the importance of strengthening environmental governance to achieve long-term development goals.
