Android-Based Ordering and Order Status Monitoring Application at PT. Panda Indo Tunggal Padang
Main Article Content
Abstract
PT. Panda Indo Tunggal Padang faces challenges in its ordering and order status monitoring processes, which are currently handled manually via telephone or text message. This situation can lead to recording errors and delayed information delivery, requiring customers to re-confirm the progress of their orders. This study aims to develop an Android-based application for ordering and order status monitoring that enables customers to place orders and track their progress in real-time, while also assisting administrators in managing order data. The study employs the Waterfall system development approach, encompassing analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, literature review, and laboratory research. System design utilized UML, while implementation involved Android Studio, the Java programming language, the Android SDK, and Firebase Realtime Database. Black-box testing was performed on functions including loading, login, the main menu, products, couriers, shipping, categories, and reports. Test results indicate that all tested functions operated successfully as expected. The developed application structures the ordering process and provides order status information that can be monitored directly through the app.
