Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of workload and work flexibility on job satisfaction, with motivation as a mediator. The research method used is qualitative with an explanatory approach. The results show that workload and motivation have a positive effect on job satisfaction, while work flexibility does not have a significant effect on job satisfaction. Workload and work flexibility do influence motivation. When mediated by motivation, workload does not affect job satisfaction, but work flexibility does. Simultaneous testing indicates that workload and work flexibility have a positive effect on job satisfaction mediated by motivation. To achieve the established targets, the company assigns workload to employees. However, excessive workload can affect the physical and emotional well-being of employees. In conclusion, the company needs to set work standards and provide work flexibility to improve employee job satisfaction. Employee job satisfaction is crucial as it impacts their performance. One aspect that can enhance job satisfaction is motivation.
